Gun license required

A cop was working a detail Saturday inside the Chow Chow Restaurant on Essex Street in Chinatown when a loud thump drew his attention to a fully loaded revolver at the feet of a customer waiting in line to place his order. The customer quickly bent over and retrieved the firearm and placed it into his waistband, according to police.

The officer asked the suspect if he had a valid license for the gun to which he replied, “No, can I just put it in my car?,” police said. Short answer: No. Elis Brea was charged with illegal gun possession.
